I'm bursting with excitement! Who will be the first Gator we get to see this season?
VT: Edwards, DiCello, Baumann, Richards, Wong, Thomas Ex: Brubach
Edwards VT: huge full with a hop back. really nice form in the air. thank goodness for quad box. 9.850.
DiCello VT: Just the full in her debut, but BOY is it huge. I think we should see the 1.5 very soon. Kayla will be in the all-around. 9.775.
Baumann VT: Gorgeous 1.5. Did she just stick that??
Rachel Baumann is the Gators first 9.90 of the year.
Richards VT: 1.5 a little short but stayed on her feet. Really glad to see her back in the lineup. 9.750.
Wong VT: Good pod with a hop back, she seems healthy and hopefully will start to get that landing back under control. 9.850.
Thomas VT: A small hop forward on another gorgeous 1.5. It really looks like she is ready for another extremely successful season. 9.925.
VT EX Brubach: A little short on her full.
49.300 is nothing to shabby to start the season with on vault. Great vaults from Trin, Rachel and Bri with definitely some room to grow for Pay, Kayla, and Leanne.
Bars Lineup: Blakely, Nguyen, DiCello, Thomas, Wong, Hurd. Wow. I truly cannot wait.
Blakely UB: Beautiful handstand. Nice maloney to pak. Good piroutte and a stuck dismount. Great start. 9.900.
Nguyen UB: Gorgeous handstands, a little separation on the pak and also on the dismount. But her double layout is STUCK. 9.900.
DiCello - HUGE ray and beautiful pak. Lovely handstands and another stick on her dismount. 9.925.
Thomas UB: stunning handstand, clean maloney to pak no leg sep. VL great. Her handstands look amazing. Small slide on the dismount but everything else was basically perfect. 9.950.
Wong UB: Really crisp maloney to pak, beautiful handstand to VL. Great handstand, double lay to a salute. 9.950.
Holy moley this lineup.
Hurd UB: Beautiful ray to pak, struggles hard with her pirouette on the low bar and needs to come off and slips before she would do her dismount. She opts not to finish the routine.
A 49.625 on the first week? Five scores 9.90+? Let's go girls. Hurd clearly had an off routine tonight, but I just know this six is going to be such a beautiful lineup all season.
Beam Lineup: Hurd, Lazzari, DiCello, Richards, Thomas, Wong
Hurd BB: Front aerial backhandspring beautiful. A little arm swing on her ring jump. A little balance on the full turn. Step back on the dismount. Really really excited to see her get up on the beam and hit after her bars. 9.775.
Lazzari BB: Stunning triple series. Beautiful leaps. Front aerial, perfect. Nice full turn. Backhand spring 1.5. Stuck. Omg. 9.900.
DiCello BB: Nice double wolf. Lovely leaps. A little lean on the series but she stays straight. Really clean front aerial. Back handspring gainer full with a little hop. 9.900.
Richards BB: Nice turn. Bhs layout step out a little lean. Leg up on the switch half. Looks a little nervous but I'm proud of her for getting back out there on the beam! BHS 1.5 with a little hop. Richards gets a HUGE hug from Jenny. 9.750.
Thomas BB: Series crisp as ever. Front aerial to two feet is a new skill in Trins routine! Mixed series is great. Side aerial 1.5, stuck. 10.0.
Wong BB: I feel like we missed a bit with them watching Trinity. Nice front aerial. Clean dismount with a small hop for a 9.850.
Baumann BB Ex: Excellent side aerial layout stepout series. Beautiful leap series. 1.5 to almost stuck. Jenny is definitely testing all her options and Rachel is surely in the mix.
Very cool to see Jenny testing lots of options this week. I think we can expect that Baumann, Blakely, and Nguyen are definitely options for this lineup as well.
Floor Lineup: Brubach, Nguyen, DiCello, Richards, Baumann, Blakely
Brubach FX: Front lay to rudi quite nice. Good leaps. Double tuck a little low but good landing. Really great for the walk-on freshmen to lead off! 9.850.
Nguyen FX: Stunning choreography to start. A little off on the landing of her front double full and she uses her jump to cover it. Beautiful leaps, wow. Y turns! 1.5 to front lay nice. Gorgeous. I am just so happy V is a Gator. 9.900.
DiCello FX: A little crossed step out of the front double full. Lovely leaps! 1.5 to front lay very nice controlled landing. What a great all-around outing for Kayla on her first night in the O'Dome. 9.875.
Richards FX: Nice double lay with a lunge forward. Great straddle jumps. 1.5 front full with some tucked knees but she keeps the landing controlled. I'm really happy to see her back in lineups. 9.850.
I love to watch Jenny's face. It seems like she's telling the girls, IT'S THE FIRST WEEK YOU LOOK GREAT.
Baumann FX: Clean wolf turn. 1.5 to front full, so clean. Gorgeous straddle leaps and crisp choreography. Double pike, the camera angle was awful and we couldn't see the landing. She looks great as a Gator. 9.925.
Blakely FX: Sits her double arabian. Beautiful leaps. Also comes down short on her double pike and she is limping off.
I hope that was just a sting for Blakely, the Gators really need her this season.
